    Welcome to New Zealand! On arrival at Auckland Airport, clear customs and immigrations, collect you checked baggage and proceed towards the arrival hall where you will be met and greeted by our local representative, who will transfer you to your hotel. Check in and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Explore the City of Sails on your own.

    Auckland is the largest Polynesian city in the world with beautiful beaches, hiking trails and a dozen enchanting holiday islands.   • Day 2:                                  Auckland

    After breakfast this morning, pick up your car rentals and explore the city on your own including Victoria Park Market, West Haven Marina and the volcanic crater of Mt Eden for spectacular views of the city and harbour. Optional visit the Sky Tower… Skycity Auckland Sky Tower is one of New Zealand's most exhilarating and spectacular tourist attractions, you will be amazed at what you can see and do under one roof!

  • Day 3:                                  Auckland - Waitomo – Rotorua

    After breakfast this morning, check out of the hotel and travel south through the fertile Waikato region to arrive at Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves including an underground boat ride viewing the millions of glow worms on the cavern roof. On completion continue over the forested Mamaku Ranges to reach the ‘Thermal City’ of Rotorua. Check-in at the hotel and freshen-up.

    Rotorua is known for bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers and natural hot springs, as well as showcasing our fascinating Maori culture. The city offers a raft of attractions and experiences for everyone from adventure-seekers to those just looking to unwind.   • Day 4:                                  Rotorua

    After breakfast this morning, self drive to Te Puia Geothermal Reserve to view the boiling mudpools and cascading Pohutu Geyser and see local Maori carvers in action. Later you can visit the Agroventures for 5 in one Adventure Park experience.

  • Day 7:                                  Abel Tasman – Picton

    After breakfast this morning, check out of the hotel and Leave Abel Tasman via Nelson and travelling north via the Rai Valley towards Havelock following the scenic Queen Charlotte Drive route to the port of Picton. This route accords beautiful views of the Sounds. Check-in at the hotel and fresehen-up.

  • Day 8:                                  Picton – Christchurch

    After breakfast this morning, check out of the hotel and leave Picton behind as you turn inland and travel through North Canterbury to reach the `Garden City' of Christchurch. On arrival in Christchurch, Check-in at the hotel and enjoy rest of the evening exploring the Garden City on your own.

    Christchurch traditionally known as the Garden City, has award winning Botanic Gardens which are over 150 years old and boast an enviable collection of exotic and native plants. Life here revolves around enjoying the natural beauty, minimal rain, and plenty of long, sunny days. Although it's often considered the most conservative of New Zealand cities, don't let that fool you. There are world-class wineries nearby and the vast surrounding province of Canterbury, stretching from the Southern Alps to the Pacific Ocean, has legendary physical attractions.

  • Day 10:                                Christchurch – Greymouth – Glacier Region

    After breakfast this morning, check-out & drive to the train station to board your Tranz Alpine Christchurch to Greymouth Train arriving into the Glacier Region. From Greymouth travel south along the Scenic West Coast. This rugged length of "the Coast" has always been a challenging environment. However, its natural beauty has proved irresistible to many a visitor. Maybe take a stop at Hokitika where you can view greenstone carvers and glass blowers at work. Continue through the former gold mining townships of Ross and Harihari. It is a short journey from here to the spectacular mountainous country of the glacier region of Franz Josef and Fox Glacier. Upon arrival check- in at the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

    The Tranz Alpine is described as "The Great New Zealand Rail Adventure" and is rated as one of the top six scenic train journeys in the world. After crossing the huge and fertile patchwork farmlands of the Canterbury Plains, the Tranz Alpine winds its way over massive viaducts, through spectacular river gorges and the stunning Waimakariri River valley. It tracks its way up and across the spectacular Southern Alps via the alpine village of Arthur’s Pass situated 737 metres above sea level, before descending through lush beech forests past the beautiful Lake Brunner to the West Coast town of Greymouth, on the Tasman Sea.

    After breakfast this morning, check-out & depart the Glacier Region this morning and travel down the West Coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the Haast Pass, gateway to World Heritage Westland National Park. Travel into the Makarora Valley past Lake Hawea and Wanaka surrounded by rugged mountains.

    After breakfast this morning, proceed towards south, winding along the shores of Lake Wakatipu and across farmland before reaching Te Anau. Situated on the west coast of the South Island, Milford Sound is a fusion of spectacular natural features with amazing visual cues around every corner. You’ll need to allow an entire day for your Milford Sound excursion.

    Milford Sound's spectacular beauty is internationally renowned and the picturesque landscape, in the Fiordland National Park, is classified as a World Heritage Area.   • Day 17: Queenstown – Lake Tekapo

    After breakfast this morning, check-out & Depart Queenstown and travel through the rugged and beautiful landscape of the Central Otago Region. Leave Lake Wakatipu behind, following the winding road and unique surrounds of the Kawarau Gorge to Cromwell. Cross the Lindis Pass into the Mackenzie Country, with its small townships of Omarama and Twizel. Continue along the shores of Lake Pukaki heading north where you can stop for a photo of Mt Cook and then onto your destination of Lake Tekapo.

    Lake Tekapo village is located at the southern end of Lake Tekapo and while once considered a place for a lunch stop, the village has grown into a popular holiday location with plenty of shops and quality tourism operators in the district
